National Archives & Records
Administration

The Northeast Region of the National Archives and Records Administration, located just outside downtown Boston, is a repository and learning center for research in genealogy and historical records from Federal agencies and courts in New England. The staff wanted a lobby gallery and graphic system with a patriotic look to be integrated into their newly renovated space. In collaboration with Roger Westerman Design, I drew from the flag motif in the NARA logo to create a series of “swooshes” in which to showcase immigration records and key documents. This was applied both to the interior reading rooms and a 60' banner on the side of the building.

I'm currently working on the graphics for the opening exhibition, The World's Port, as well as wayfinding for the new location of the New York branch of the National Archives, in the Custom House in lower Manhattan.
