jgJohanna Goldfeld has been working in the arts for over ten years, and has been specializing in exhibition and graphic design for the past five. She earned her M.A. in Exhibition and Graphic Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology, SUNY in 2006 and since then has worked for companies and organizations including the Forbes Galleries, Pfizer, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

After earning her B.A. in art history in 2000, she worked in the curatorial department of The Jewish Museum for nearly four years, which provided an opportunity for publications in catalogues including "New York: Capital of Photography" and "Treasures of the Jewish Museum" as well as a strong foundation in exhibition development and collections management. It was while in this position that Johanna discovered Exhibition Design as a possible career path.

While she enjoyed researching, writing and history, her strongest interest was in juxtapositions, color, aesthetics, and fabrication. After a brief stint working in public relations Johanna decided to pursue a degree in design, and selected the program at FIT because it offered both 2D (graphics) and 3D design. Since then, she has had the opportunity to work with teams at a wide variety of institutions and companies, all of which comment on her ability to visually capture their ideas.

A native New Yorker, Johanna currently lives in Brooklyn and works with clients around the country. She enjoys learning new computer software, and is proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Dreamweaver) and Vectorworks. She also has experience with Quark, AutoCAD, 3d StudioMax and the Museum System. She is a member of the American Association of Museums, the National Association of Museum Exhibitors, and the New England Museum Association, and has served as a guest critic and instructor at FIT and Parsons.

Johanna Goldfeld Design is a certified NYC Woman-Owned Business.
